Wellness Disclaimer
Effective date: June 13, 2026. This Wellness Disclaimer is part of, and should be read together with, the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. By using Further Health (the "Service"), you acknowledge and agree to this Wellness Disclaimer. It restates and expands, in long form, the short consent you accept on first use of the Service.
The short version you agreed to on first use: Further Health is a general wellness and educational tool that helps you organize your own health information and observe patterns over time. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and it does not provide individualized medical advice. You are using Further Health for general wellness and educational purposes only, and you will discuss any health decisions with a qualified, licensed healthcare provider. Information shown is contextual and references published research, not clinical guidance.

1. Further Health is a general-wellness and educational tool
Further Health helps you organize your own health information, observe patterns and trends over time, view reference information and published research, and prepare for conversations with your licensed healthcare provider. It is intended to support general wellness and education.
The Service is positioned as a "general wellness" software function under the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's 2019 General Wellness guidance and as non-medical-device software under EU MDR, the UK MHRA framework, the Australian TGA framework, and comparable rules. It is designed to stay on the wellness side of that line: it describes your own data and what the published literature says about comparable patterns; it does not reach clinical conclusions about you.
2. Not a medical device; no diagnosis, treatment, or clinical advice
Further Health is not a medical device. Nothing in the Service is intended to, and nothing in the Service does:
- diagnose any disease or health condition, or tell you that you have or do not have any condition;
- treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease or health condition;
- screen for, monitor for, or detect any disease or health condition;
- recommend, prescribe, or instruct you to start, stop, or change any medication, supplement, dose, diet, exercise, device, procedure, or other intervention; or
- provide individualized medical, clinical, prescribing, pharmacy, genetic-counseling, mental-health, nutritional, or other professional advice.
Everything the Service presents is informational, educational, and contextual. It describes observations about the data you provide (for example, that a value is above your own historical range or outside a population reference range), and it summarizes what published research literature says about comparable patterns. It does not interpret your data as a diagnosis and it is not a substitute for professional evaluation.
3. No doctor-patient relationship
Your use of the Service does not create a physician-patient, pharmacist-patient, genetic-counselor-patient, therapist-patient, or any other professional-client relationship between you and Further Health or anyone associated with it. Further Health does not practice medicine, pharmacy, genetic counseling, mental-health care, nutrition, or any other licensed profession, and does not provide such services to you through the Service. No content in the Service is a communication from a licensed professional who has evaluated you.
4. You remain responsible for your medical decisions
You are responsible for your own health decisions, and you should make them together with a qualified, licensed healthcare provider who can evaluate your individual circumstances.
- Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any question you may have about a medical condition, a laboratory or genetic result, a medication, a symptom, or any health concern.
- Never disregard professional medical advice, and never delay seeking it, because of something you have read, seen, or generated on the Service.
- Do not change or stop any medication or treatment based on the Service. Discuss any change with your prescriber.
- Verify before you act. Confirm any value, observation, score, or reference with your clinician and, where relevant, with the issuing laboratory or testing provider, before relying on it.
You knowingly and voluntarily assume the risks of using the Service, as further described in the Terms of Service.
5. Emergencies
The Service is not for emergencies and must not be used to obtain emergency help.
If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately (in the United States, dial 911) or go to the nearest emergency department. If you are outside the United States, call your local emergency number. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line (in the United States, call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline).
Do not rely on the Service to recognize, warn about, or respond to an emergency or any urgent condition. The Service does not monitor you and cannot summon help.
6. Accuracy and limitations of outputs
We work to make the Service useful, but all outputs have limitations and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. You should keep these limitations in mind:
- Imperfect data capture. Documents (such as lab PDFs and records) can be parsed imperfectly, and imported or synced data can contain gaps or errors originating from the source.
- Population statistics are not you. Reference ranges, baselines, and population statistics do not apply equally to every person and do not account for your full individual context. An observation that a value is "outside a reference range" is not a finding that anything is wrong.
- Probabilities are not certainties. Statistical outputs (including polygenic scores) express likelihoods across populations, carry uncertainty, and do not tell you what is true for you.
- No completeness. The Service may not surface every pattern that matters, and the absence of an observation is not assurance that everything is normal.
- Not a substitute for testing or examination. The Service does not perform clinical testing or physical examination and cannot replace them.
We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness of any output for any purpose or for you specifically. See the warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability in the Terms of Service.
7. AI and algorithmic outputs
Some features use statistical, algorithmic, and machine-learning techniques. The optional Premium AI Analysis uses a third-party cloud large-language model to generate wellness observations from a pseudonymized subset of your data.
- AI-generated and fallible. Where content is generated by AI, it is identified as such. AI systems can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading output ("hallucinations"), even when stated confidently. Do not rely on AI output; treat it as a starting point for discussion with your clinician.
- Wellness-tier role. The role of any AI or algorithm in the Service is wellness-tier and non-diagnostic. It organizes and describes information; it does not diagnose, treat, or recommend.
- No automated decisions about you. The Service does not use AI or algorithmic outputs to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. See the Privacy Policy, Section 22.
- Your data and training. We contractually instruct our cloud AI sub-processor not to use the inputs we send to train any general-purpose foundation model. How data is pseudonymized and what is and is not transmitted is described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Per-surface wellness-tier framing
Each feature is wellness-tier and educational only. The descriptions below explain the specific limits that apply to each.
8.1 Blood and laboratory results
The Service organizes the laboratory results you provide, displays reference ranges, and shows your own trends over time to help you prepare for a conversation with your clinician. It does not tell you whether you have any condition, does not interpret your results as a diagnosis, and does not recommend any treatment. A value outside a reference range is an observation, not a diagnosis. Document extraction can be imperfect — always confirm values and their meaning with your clinician and the issuing laboratory.
8.2 Genomics and polygenic scores (PGS)
The Service computes polygenic scores and carrier and trait observations from a genetic file you provide, with ancestry calibration and explicit uncertainty. These are probabilistic, research-grade, educational wellness information.
- They are not a clinical genetic test, not a diagnosis, and not medical advice.
- They are statistical and probabilistic, derived from research datasets, and do not tell you whether you have, will develop, or are protected from any condition.
- They are calibrated to ancestry groups and may be less accurate for some ancestries; the Service states uncertainty, and you should interpret scores with that uncertainty in mind.
- Raw consumer genotyping data can contain errors. Any genetic result that matters to you should be confirmed through clinical-grade testing ordered and interpreted by a qualified healthcare professional or genetic counselor.
- Genetic information is sensitive and protected; see the GINA section of the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your own decisions about sharing your genetic data outside the Service.
8.3 Menstrual-cycle tracking
If you are eligible (an adult aged 18 or older) and choose to enable it, the Service organizes the cycle information you log and surfaces general patterns over time.
- It is not a contraceptive method, not a fertility or "trying to conceive" (TTC) tool, not a pregnancy test, and not diagnostic or an aid in the detection of any condition.
- Do not use the Service to prevent or to achieve pregnancy.
- The Service does not infer pregnancy, fertility status, ovulation for contraceptive purposes, or any clinical condition from cycle data.
- Cycle tracking is strictly opt-in and can be disabled at any time; reproductive and sexual-health data is protected with heightened care as described in the Privacy Policy.
8.4 Peptides (educational information only)
The Service may provide general educational information about research peptides, drawn from published literature. This is not medical advice, not a recommendation to obtain, purchase, possess, or use any substance, and not an endorsement of any product, source, protocol, or dose. Many peptides are not approved by the FDA or other regulators for human use, may be unlawful to obtain or use in your jurisdiction, and may carry serious health and legal risks. Always consult a licensed clinician before considering any substance, and comply with all applicable laws. Further Health does not sell, supply, source, or facilitate the acquisition of any peptide or other substance.
8.5 Wearables
Wearable metrics (such as heart rate, HRV, sleep, recovery, respiration, temperature, and blood-oxygen estimates) are organized and described for general wellness only. They are consumer-grade measurements, are not medical-grade, and are not used to diagnose, monitor, or detect any condition. Discuss anything that concerns you with your clinician.
9. No guarantee of results
We do not promise that using the Service will produce any particular health, wellness, fitness, medical, or other outcome. Individual results vary, and the Service makes no representation that any observation, trend, score, or reference is appropriate, accurate, or beneficial for you specifically. Any decision you make after using the Service is your own, made in consultation with your clinician.
10. Educational references and third-party information
The Service may cite or summarize published research literature and other third-party information for educational purposes. A citation or summary is not an endorsement, is not medical advice, and may not reflect the most current research or apply to your situation. Research findings can be preliminary, contested, or later revised. Always interpret educational references with your clinician.
11. Eligibility (18+)
The Service, including this Wellness Disclaimer, is intended only for adults aged eighteen (18) or older. It is not directed to children, and it is not intended for use in pediatric care. See the Terms of Service for eligibility requirements.
12. Changes to this Disclaimer
We may update this Wellness Disclaimer from time to time. The "Effective date" above reflects the most recent change. The short gating consent you accept on first use is the controlling, version-tracked statement of the wellness-tier nature of the Service; where a material change is made, we will ask you to re-acknowledge it. Your continued use of the Service after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Disclaimer, except where re-acknowledgment is required.
